Our Year 12 students have begun their HSC examinations and these are progressing smoothly, thanks to the Presiding Officer and supervisors. Over one hundred students from our feeder primary schools visited the school last week for a day of socialising and team building and generally getting to know each other and the staff, in preparation for joining us in 2020. It was a very successful day, with both students and staff enjoying the activities. I need to take this opportunity to advise that due to some changes for 2020, Mr Michael Fowler will be the Year Adviser for this group of students. I would like to congratulate all the SRC representatives who have been elected for the upcoming year. Congratulations also to the 2019/2020 School Captains Elizabeth Legge and Samuel Davison and the Vice Captains Maddeline Symons and Chayce Anderson. I look forward to working with the SRC in the coming year to ensure the school is a safe and enjoyable place for all. Students experienced success in several areas at the Camden Haven Show last weekend. Members of the Show Team looked great in their new shirts and competed in judging and oral presentations about cattle. Congratulations to Jazmin Madden who was named Junior Ambassador and one of our staff, Ms Sally Woodhouse who was the Senior Ambassador. There were lots of prizes in the art displays by a number of students as well. It was great to see our students and staff being involved and supporting our local show. This term is a busy one with examinations for Years 7 to 10 and the first assessment for students who have just begun their HSC courses. I look forward to another successful term. I thank you all for your support of our students in their participation of the many and varied activities we are able to provide.
