Product Feature: TK-AFA – AFA Turnkey Automation System
AFA Systems has the capacity and skill set to complete end of line turnkey automation projects for its end users. This month’s feature is on a line AFA developed that included case/carton erecting, top-loading, and case/carton closing. To save valuable floor space, AFA utilized its CS-TOP – Top Sealer to run chipboard cartons and cases on the same machine. Also, the turnkey line featured world-class servo change over. Most systems on the line can change over in less than one minute.
New Product Development: TL-GDP – High-Speed Gravity Drop Load Case Packer
AFA Systems has updated the design of its innovative TL-GDP - Drop Load Case Packer. The system features a simple drop gate system to collate and load cases with products. The system is ideal for handling bags, pouches, and more. An Allen Bradley Controls package comes standard with the compact TL-GDP. Furthermore, the system can seamlessly integrate with your upstream case erector and downstream case sealer. The TL-GDP also features a servo flighted case conveyor for accurate case positioning.
New Industry Development: AFA’s First Cartoner for the Cannabis Industry
AFA Systems has developed its first cartoner for the Cannabis Industry. The HD-CMA – Continuous Motion Autoload Cartoner is for packaging cannabis products at 200 cartons per minute. An innovative loading system uses cam motions to confine and end load the product. This system ensures accurate loading while simplifying change over as only six (6) pusher arms need to be changed over as opposed to over sixteen (16) on traditional cartoners. The system also features servo change over assist to change over key points on the cartoner automatically.
