Polycythemia and Sleep Apnea Concerns for Men on Testosterone Therapy

Are you a man on testosterone therapy?  If so, you should know about polycythemia and obstructive sleep apnea.

Polycythemia occurs when there is an abnormal amount of red blood cells circulating in the bloodstream. Obstructive sleep apnea causes people to stop breathing for short periods of time while they’re asleep.

Recent research in the Journal of Sexual Medicine reports a “strong positive association” between the two conditions in men taking testosterone. Get more details.

Sexual Issues Common in Female Childhood Cancer Survivors

Women who have survived childhood cancer often have sexual problems as adults.

A new study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that 1 in 5 female cancer survivors had some degree of sexual dysfunction compared to 1 in 10 women with no history of childhood cancer.
