Forbes & Fifth, the University of Pittsburgh’s undergraduate journal in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Twice per year, we publish works of research, creative writing, and scholarship, in addition to works of visual art. This term, we are accepting written submissions through October 3rd, 2025, as well as visual art submissions through October 17th, 2025. I will appreciate it if you please encourage your students to review recent issues of Forbes & Fifth on our website. If students would like to submit after this review, then they may submit through the site’s submission tab: http://www.forbes5.pitt.edu/submit.

The Ph.D. program at FAU emphasizes independent, mentor-guided research and coursework that provides a broad knowledge of psychology, including training in basic and advanced experimental design.

Our faculty is engaged in cutting-edge research in Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, and Social and Personality Psychology.  Many members of our faculty are affiliated with the Center for Complex Systems and the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute.  We do not offer a program in clinical psychology at this time.

To be considered for admission in the Fall of 2026, application materials must be submitted by the application deadline (12/1/25).  Please note that GRE scores are optional.
