Mid year break is flying by, and semester 2 is quickly approaching.

If you're a new student in semester 2, or just looking for more information about the uni, then come along to Mid Year Orientation!

With giveaways, clubs and an abundance of information, there are plenty of opportunities to find out how to make the most of Uni.

Take advantage of the Mid Year O'Week activities happening on campus! From 22 - 26 July, come along and take a look at what the Uni can offer outside of study, and on Friday, take a trip to Victor Harbour or a tour around the Botanical Gardens.

Tram stop closures
From 7 - 23 July, some tram stops along North Terrace will be temporarily closed, including stops near the University. Further information.

Get help with your tax return
Tax Help is a free confidential service to assist students on low incomes (around $60 000 or less) with simple tax affairs to complete tax returns online.
Make sure you have a myGov account, then contact Student Care to confirm your eligibility and to make an appointment.

Pinnacle Foundation Scholarships
Applications now open for Pinnacle Foundation Scholarships for students aged 17-26 planning on studying fulltime at a public institution of higher education in Australia in 2020. Applicants must demonstrate they have been prevented or hindered from achieving their academic aspirations because of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or sexual characteristics.

#PlasticFreeJuly Beeswax Wrap Workshops!
North Terrace campus - 31 July, 12 pm - 2 pm
Roseworthy campus - 13 August, 12 pm - 1:30 pm
Ecoversity and ConservationSA are bringing you FREE beeswax wrap workshops to finish off #PlasticFreeJuly. No registration needed, just drop in and have a go! Instructors and materials provided.

Walk a Mile in my Boots
7:30 am 9 August - Hutt St Centre
Support Adelaide's homeless and join Walk a Mile in my Boots. Donations go towards a welcoming space for the homeless to access essential services including meals and showers. Register online or contact Tania Johnson and join the University of Adelaide team on the day - you'll receive a free KeepCup and, for new registrants, a branded beanie.

Careers & employment

The Adelaide University Union advertises part time work for current students on the paid vacancies page from Employment Services.

Career Services are free for all students. CareerHub features a jobs board of opportunities related to your studies including paid work experience and graduate roles. The Careers team also run employer events and workshops to increase employability, build resumes, improve your interview skills and more.
