Product Update: HD-LSP - Heavy Duty Linear Servopack Autoload Cartoner (Video ID: 426)
Check out the latest iteration of the HD-LSP. The system was designed to carton bars of product from two upstream flow wrappers at over 500 ppm. The heavy-duty cartoner is able to collate product in a wide variety of counts and end load cartons with high precision. The cartoner can also handle both lay-flat SKUs, and on-edge counts making end-users production lines more flexible for their customers. The system also has a manual load station for the end-user to run multi-flavor packages. All major actuations on the HD-LSP are servo driven making the system run smoothly and the changeover more precise. A Nordson ProBlue Flex provides carton closing technology.
New Product: TR-QCT - Transrector Series Case Packer (Video ID: 427)
AFA Systems has created a new product called the TR-QCT. The TR-QCT is a compact, high-speed case packer that features AFA's innovative gantry robot technology. The TR-QCT utilizes an AFA gantry robot to pick and erect cases onto the case transportation system. An AFA gantry robot is also used to collate and top load cases. No third-party robots are used on the TR-QCT, making servicing and spare parts all under AFA. For this application, the AFA case packer collated flow-wrapped wet wipes and top loaded them into the case at 100 ppm. An integrated AFA top sealer with fault detection systems such as low-tape is used for the top and bottom case sealing.

AFA's CP-GRT Case Packer is the perfect addition to your packaging line. This case packer can handle both on-edge or lay-flat carton counts with ease. The CP-GRT can be designed to run as a top load or end load case packer. For this application, the CP-GRT collates cartons of bars at over 100 cpm. The CP-GRT handles over 20 SKUs and a wide array of pack patterns. The system utilized a star wheel turner to run on-edge SKUs and easily disengages when running lay-flat SKUs. The system runs on an Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC and servo motors.
