IRF's recent visit to the Philippines

Dr. Eva Abal, CEO of the International RiverFoundation, visited the Philippines last week. Eva presented the Resilient River's Blueprint at the head office of the Asian Development Bank, where she highlighted that 70% of rivers in the Asia Pacific are in poor condition.

Sustainability is not good enough, we need to head to resilience. We need to establish a good relationship between rivers and communities by developing a blueprint for rivers.

The Blueprint's Founding Partners and Guiding Principles will be launched at the International Riversymposium this year.

Eva also visited the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC), the winners of the 2018 inaugural Asia Riverprize. She was the guest speaker at the special flag ceremony held at the PRRC Head Office in Quezon City.
