Dear Gateway Community, The first quarter of our school year is wrapping up this week and our students and teachers are preparing for the second half of the semester. Our 6th graders have settled into middle school and we're proud of our seniors who are in their second semester of college counseling in preparation for upcoming application deadlines. This school year is especially exciting as it marks the 20th anniversary of our commitment to giving every student a great public school education and making the dream of college real for all of our students. We are thrilled to share with our community the remarkable ways in which we have worked together to educate Gateway students, celebrate incredible teachers, and engage our neighbors and community in our work. In this edition of The Gate, you will learn more about Gateway Impact, an educator professional development platform launched this year to support the collaboration, growth, and retention of all teachers. With 20 years of experience leading Gateway High School and Middle School, we are excited to share our model so that all public school students and teachers are supported and find success. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating two decades of our school community and a future aimed at ensuring all students find academic success, self-confidence, and opportunities to learn and grow. I look forward to seeing you on campus this school year for the festivities! Regards, Sharon Olken TABLE OF CONTENTS UNLOCKING STUDENT POTENTIAL
