World Meeting on Sexual Medicine - Updated Scientific Program

There are just about 6 weeks to go until experts from around the world convene in Chicago for the World Meeting on Sexual Medicine.  We hope you'll be one of them!

The updated Scientific Program is available here. We're excited to offer lectures, point-counterpoint sessions, classes, workshops, and panels on a variety of topics, such as diabetes, cancer, HSDD, sexual dysfunction in the gay-lesbian population, and more.

See you in Chicago!

Periodontitis and Erectile Dysfunction

Research from Taiwan has shown a link between periodontitis - a severe form of gum disease - and erectile dysfunction (ED). The connection appears to be stronger among men under age 30 and over age 70.

Researchers examined insurance and registry data for almost 33,000 men with ED and almost 162,500 men without erectile difficulties.  Of all the participants, 12% of the men had periodontitis. This group included about 27% of the men with ED and 9% of the men without ED.
