  Conference Update!
 
There is less than a month to go until our annual conference The Emerging Profession on the 22nd November in Berlin!

There is a lot of interest in impact investment right now. Headlines include:
  • Impact Assets publish IA 50, the first public database of experienced impact investment fund managers.
 
  New reports and resources
 
  • NPC launch the groud-breaking Making An Impact report, the first to provide a representative picture of the UK charity sector's response to impact measurement.
 
  Member Profile: David Carrington, Independent Consultant
 

David has been an independent consultant since 2001, drawing on 25 years experience of senior management positions in charities and Board member experience with over a dozen organisations. He is currently a non-executive Director of Big Society Capital in the UK, a member of the Supervisory Board of Triodos Bank NV in the Netherlands, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Effective Philanthropy in USA.

David works in the UK and internationally with a wide range of organisations, helping them diversify the ways they use financial and other resources, and enhancing their standards of governance and management practice. He has also been commissioned to write many reports, including one on Outcomes Funding for the Community Fund. Downloadable reports and details of all his work are on www.davidcarrington.net

David chairs the Programme Board of Inspiring Impact, which aims to make high quality impact measurement the norm for charities and social enterprises in the UK. He will also be helping us to faciliate some exciting discussions at our annual conference!
