BUSY At Work kicked off the last round of youth support programs for 2012 in Southport and Ipswich. A total of ten participants have been accepted for the current training course and will work over the next eight weeks developing skills and resources to help them enter the workforce or transition into further training.

Busy Beat is pleased to have been selected as a Semi-Finalist for the Queensland Regional Achievement and Community Awards in the Business & Employment Award category. This placed Busy Beat in the top ten organisations in Queensland for this category. BUSY At Work congratulates all staff involved in Busy Beat on delivering this valued service to the community.

Ipswich high school student Dyllan has proven he has the skills and dedication to be successful in obtaining employment after vital work experience pays off. Before Dyllan joined Busy Beat, Ipswich community enterprise centre, he was struggling with gaining employment and was unsure of his career path. Now he is on track to being successful, securing his first part time job.

Kyle attended the second round of Get BUSY For Work in Southport for 2012 with high hopes of gaining employment within the automotive industry. Completing the course gave him the confidence he needed to pursue his dream job. Kyle has since gained work experience in his desired industry and has taken up a range of part time employment opportunities.

Since graduating five months ago from Get BUSY For Work with a new found motivation, Jess has accomplished her first steps towards a bright future. After finishing the pre-employment and training course at BUSY last June, Jess has since completed the Adult Tertiary Preparation course at Tafe, achieving high distinctions. Jess now has enough marks to be accepted straight into tertiary qualifications in science.
