Hello Friends,
I'm trying to get in the habit of sharing everything new we do at Lucky Paper with you, our esteemed newsletter subscribers, first. In that spirit, I'm excited to tell you about our new podcast, Lucky Paper Radio.
This represents a combination of two of my favorite things: Magic and podcasts. I've been an avid podcast listener for over twelve years (if you want to talk podcasts, my inbox is open). My favorite shows are minimally produced "podcasts about nothing". No guests, no fancy production, just friends talking about their lives. I love getting to know the hosts over time and how the shows become like little rituals. I've been listening to some specific podcasts every week for over a decade, never missing an episode.
Honestly, one of my biggest motivations for doing the podcast is to intentionally set aside time each week to talk with my friend and co-host, Anthony. He's one of the smartest people I know, and better yet, he's generous and patient in sharing his knowledge. I'm lucky to have someone like him to talk about my favorite hobby with, and I know you all will come to appreciate him as much as I do. I especially hope this show might fill a space for those of you who haven't yet found a local playgroup or a don't have a close friend who loves the game as much as you do.
I haven't even added the podcast to our site yet, nor have the various feeds propagated, but you all get the first listen! We have two episodes up right now: our first episode is a conversation all about Core 2021 and our second is a discussion about Anthony's three cubes, with a special focus on his mono-black cube.
I can't wait to see where the show goes from here. I expect we'll occasionally be joined by additional friends, maybe we'll have some listener participation, who knows! Wherever we're headed, I'm glad to have you along for the ride.
