Family Medicine Questions US News & World Report about Medical School RankingsYesterday, STFM leadership met with representatives of US News & World Report to discuss concerns about the omission of family medicine in the “2019 Best Medical Schools Rankings.” US News staff welcomed input from “the family” and plans to change their ranking process and add family medicine back into the list of ranked specialties.

The purpose of the theme issue will be to provide an assessment of the project and to update the journal’s
readers about FMAHealth’s progress in achieving its goals. Papers for the theme issue will be considered if they are submitted to the journal by July 1, 2018.

Serve as Faculty in the Emerging Leaders FellowshipEmerging Leaders Fellowship faculty serve 2-year terms from May 2019 to May 2021 with the option to serve for a second term. They help with application reviews in the fall of 2018 for the incoming 2019 fellowship class. Faculty are reimbursed up to $800 in travel expenses to the STFM Annual Spring Conference during their terms.
Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program Seeks InstructorThe instructor provides timely feedback on assignments submitted by program participants. The position is a 3-year term, with the option to serve for an additional 3-year period, and includes a $1,000 honorarium per year.
