No Images? Click here The last two weeks of the term have perhaps been the busiest, but also the most rewarding and successful. The Cross Country Carnival was an outstanding event, perhaps the best yet and a credit to the organisation of Ms Woodhouse and Mr Vonbun and all the PDHPE staff who worked collaboratively to ensure all went well. Well done to the whole team! It was great to welcome David Gillespie to the school, bringing the welcome news of an additional grant of money to support our STEM initiatives at the school. This is an area of growth and there are many staff and students really interested and involved. It was a pleasure to be able to show Dr Gillespie around the school and for him to be able to meet with staff and students in classrooms during his visit. Lots of sporting events have also been happening, Bill Turner Cup soccer and Touch Football with both girls and boys teams competing this week. Congratulations to Aston Pollard who was selected for the Lower North Coast Team. Combined High Schools State Swimming Carnival has seen Bailey Whitton collect two gold and a silver medal this week and Nash Wilkes, a distance education student also collect gold. Another distance education student, Laia Pasini has won the state tennis championship and moves through to the national competition. As the term ends, it is with mixed feelings that we say farewell to Ms Meaghan Cook. Ms Cook has been at the school since it started and has held many roles over her time here. A wonderful teacher and great support to myself and to all staff and students. Ms Cook has been successful in being selected as the Principal of the Port Macquarie Campus at Hastings Secondary College. We wish her well in her new role and know she will fulfil the role with great enthusiasm and commitment, all our best wishes for your future success.
