Our tourism sector took a battering when COVID-19 restrictions effectively cut us off from our valued visitors last year, but the underlying strength of our beautiful region is fuelling a recovery that will benefit us all.

We've joined up with the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to count the flying foxes at Padman Park. It's part of efforts to assess the population so we can better manage these amazing animals.

Down Memory Lane, on Dean Street

Today's picture from the past takes us back to Dean Street in 1947 and while much has changed, our heritage-rich main street still provides an intruiging window into local history. This shot shows the Mates and T&G buildings, with a bus operated by Murray Valley Coaches waiting for passengers.
