Issue 62 | 14 March 2018

When people think about technological advancement, it's usually with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. Movies like Blade Runner seem to say: yes, you can have your flying cars, but it’ll come at a price – you’ll also have homicidal replicants to contend with. And so, as we move forever forward, we see the future every day. Drones model products on a catwalk and we think, how clever and quirky. But then, totally unprompted, Alexa laughs creepily in the corner of the room, and we’re suddenly in a particularly dark episode of Black Mirror. Let us hold your hand, as we see what else has been going on. Don't be scared.
