Mundaring Sporting Club - Come and Try - Open Day

Sunday 8 September
Head along to the Club Open Day to try your hand at Disc Golf, Golf or Bowls. View details of this event on Facebook here.

Disc Golf will have a 6-hole beginner loop for you to try and discs available to borrow. Team Dynamic Discs Player Jason Browne will be on hand to run beginner driving & putting clinics and Disc Golf members on hand to help navigate the course. 

The Bowls Section will have experienced bowlers with bowls available so you can try your hand.

The Golf Section (golf equipment supplied) will use the driving range tee to hit out with practice shots, also putt out and an option to play a normal 4-par fairway.

Battle of the Bands at Chidlow Tavern (Chidlow BBQ Festival)

The hills will be filled with the sound of music, as Battle of the Bands returns to The Chidlow BBQ Festival) With the stage calling and places limited, are you ready to meat your match? Bands, duets and solo musicians will do (musical) battle, with 40 minutes to wow the judges, prove who’s the hottest talent and showcase some of Perth’s best up and coming musical performers to the guests and competitors of our KCBS International BBQ Competition and artisan markets. The Battle is open to all musical genres, may include originals or covers, the use of both acoustic and electronic instruments - all performances must be 100% family-friendly in every aspect. Entry fee is $5/person. Wild Goose presents An 'Irish Nite'

Darlington Bush & Variety Walk Series - 2019

This walk covers a distance of 7.1km, covering a variety of moderate wide trails, some flat, some steeper, some rocky. Presented entirely in bushlands. Big jarrah and Marri and wildflowers! KSP Annual Short Fiction competition - deadline 27 September

Bibbulmun Track - Social Sunday Walk

Sunday 15 September
If you are fit and experienced then this one is a perfect walk for you.Walk 23.5km return from Perth Hills Discovery Centre to the brand new Helena Campsite via Ball Creek Campsite, led by Foundation volunteers. Pass flowing creeks, through mixed jarrah forest and wandoo forest and also take a break at the Helena campsite with amazing views from high up the valley. 8.30am- 4pm. More here.

Bush Bounty - part of 'What on Earth'

‘Bush Bounty’ explores the many ways people, past and present, encountered West Australian flora.  From food and medicine, to decoration on clothing and domestic items, this exhibition celebrates how the State’s extraordinary botanical diversity has been utilised in the everyday and commonplace.

Mundaring is blossoming for the 'What on Earth Open Day

Sunday 29 September
Mundaring will be bursting with a day of action, history and natural wonders when the 'What On Earth Open Day ‘plants the seed of creativity’ in the town centre.

Community groups, artists and businesses from across WA will come together to showcase their botanical passion, with a plethora of plant sales, interactive art activities, natural dyeing  demonstrations, environmental displays and more.

The Mundaring Arts Centre, Hall, District Museum, Library, Sculpture Park, Station Masters House, Craigie Place and surrounds will be ‘blossoming’ with a cross-pollination of hands on activities, food, displays, talks and locally crafted things to buy. Parkerville Tavern - Sunday Sessions

The Parkerville Tavern is a lovely old family pub and restaurant in the heart of Perth Hills. Steeped in history, this double-storey federation style pub is a local favourite.
