Spotlights

We have a new member of the team, Danny Aumua, a TV producer, director, writer and content creator with more than 15 years' experience in the media industry across New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.

Over the next few months, Danny is visiting creative spaces throughout the country, interviewing artists and tutors to gain insights into what makes our community so special.

For Youth Week back in May, we featured three talented young people from creative spaces across Tāmaki Makaurau working in visual arts, music, creative writing and performance.

Here's some exciting news for creative spaces and mental health.

Matt Doocey and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon with the heading "New targets set to mental health sector as $10m fund opens

This fund is a fantastic opportunity for members of the Creative Spaces Network to help them continue to provide accessible, inclusive environments where art can flourish and positively impact mental health.

Applications open this month to all NGOs, and community mental health and addiction providers, so seize this chance to make a difference. Together, we can enhance access to mental health support through innovative, community-driven solutions.
