Survey findings: Diverse perspectives on our new NDP government

Survey findings: Diverse perspectives on our new NDP government

Your Chamber has an important role in helping align the priorities of government with those of business. To inform that work, the Calgary Chamber recently sent a survey to members, asking for their thoughts on the new NDP government and we received an unprecedented level of response. Thank you for that!

In analyzing those responses one thing is crystal clear, we have a membership divided on what a new NDP government could mean for Alberta. Nonetheless, Chamber members are a pragmatic bunch and common threads run through their thoughts.

Read about the preliminary indications we gathered from our membership on the new NDP government.

Understanding our members, one stop at a time

Understanding our members, one stop at a time

To help our members to become more successful and to find out what really keeps them up at night, you Calgary Chamber started the Member Bus Tour in 2014. The idea is simple, load up a bunch of “Chamberinos” on to a bus and head out on a city-wide tour to visit a cross section of our membership.

This year we split the tour across two days and divided the team into two groups, so that each day had a Chamber representative from each department in attendance. Day 1 of the 2015 Tours happened on May 20, 2015 and we were blown away by the unique stories and challenges each of our members shared.

Read more about the stories we uncovered on Day 1 of the bus tour.
