As Chancellor Gallagher announced earlier today, the University is beginning to plan for maximizing on-campus living, learning and research opportunities and experiences in the fall term. For staff who have primarily been working remotely, the summer brings an opportunity to transition back to on-campus work.

While departments may choose to maintain some remote work options if possible, our campuses thrive on in-person interaction. Therefore, some departments will begin to bring staff back to our campuses in early June. The needs and timing will vary by unit, and supervisors will provide more direction in the coming weeks.

If you require accommodations due to health, transportation or childcare concerns, we will work with you to find solutions. Supervisors, deans and department chairs will receive detailed guidance and resources for navigating these situations in the future.

If you are coming back to campus, please remember that it is still necessary to follow Pitt’s health rules including wearing a face covering, maintaining physical distance and good hand hygiene.

Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do to support the University and our communities.

Cheers,

Dave
