Major conference win
Council has been given the green light to host the Local Government Association of Queensland annual conference in October, 2017.
Award winners named
The 40th Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards was officially launched last Saturday with the winners announced that night.
Second road closer
A second Agnes Water arterial route moved a step closer to reality following decisions at Council's general meeting this week.
Seeking new youth
Applications are now open seeking young residents interested in being part of the Gladstone Region Youth Council for 2016.
Mulch at two sites
Council's popular free mulch is available again at Benaraby Landfill and Agnes Water Transfer Station. Check Council's website for hours.
Top award accolades
The search is on to find Council's 2016 Australia Day Awards winners. Nominations close 5pm on November 6. Nominate your hero today.
Cemetery works tender
Council, at its general meeting yesterday, awarded the Calliope Cemetery Stage 1A civil works and landscaping project to a local firm.
Art applications open
Applications are open for local artists interested in being part of next year's exhibitions at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
