World Meeting: Register by November 1 for Early Bird Fees
A recent study involving over 2,000 American adults shows that romance and affection are highly valued sexual behaviors.
The 2015 Sexual Exploration in American Survey asked respondents to indicate whether they had participated in 32 sexual behaviors. It also asked them to rate the appeal of 50 behaviors.
Romantic and affectionate behaviors, such as kissing and cuddling, were most appealing, the authors said.
The results could help clinicians "better meet the needs of their clients by being more aware of the diversity of sexual practices across the lifespan," they added.
The study was recently published online in PLOS One. More information, including the types of behaviors discussed and the ways men and women differed in their responses, is available here.
