A Message from Jerry Salvador - Head of School

Dear Brookes Westshore Families,

A lot has been happening behind the scenes this week – you will have received an email about our Covid-19 boarding refund policy earlier in the week, and day families will also have received a re-enrolment form for the school year 2020/2021. With everything that is going on it is hard to focus on the future, but we are optimistic that Brookes Westshore will be able to resume classes for the 2020/2021 school year.

This week our students took part in Earth Day activities and produced some amazing ‘personifications’ – see some of their artistic endeavours below. We are also going to be setting up some challenges for the weekends – House points will be awarded! Mr B explains in the video below. This is part of our growing virtual community – offering a virtual space for our students to gather, share experiences, learn skills and enjoy each other’s company.  Why not give a challenge a try? We would love to see our Virtual Community Centre blossom into something that keeps us connected, builds community and fosters creativity.

These Earth Day personifications are a response to the chapter 'The Strawberry Pink Villa' read in class this week. It is so nice to be able to send students out into the spring time sunshine for creative inspiration!
