Updates from AAMC

Registration Opening for July-September MCAT Dates  

The registration opening will be held on April 21 and 22. We will open registration for test centers in part of the United States and some international locations on Wednesday, April 21 at noon ET, and in all remaining test center locations on Thursday, April 22 at noon ET. Click here to view a map of the regions opening each day, or continue reading below for more information. 

Depending on where you plan to take the exam, you will be able to access the system beginning on the dates and times listed below. 

Not ready to schedule your exam during one of these dates? The MCAT Registration System will remain open for scheduling available dates everywhere after April 22.  

Volunteers Needed

Out of the Cold is looking for volunteers.  

They have advertised that they need help "Monday-Wednesday next week at the day shelter from 9am-4pm." You may also volunteer to help prepare lunch for the day shelter.

HESE

Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship

From their announcement: 

 HESE is a learning, entrepreneurship, and research program bringing together students and faculty from across the University to Go.Do.Change. HESE collaborates with stakeholders around the world to design, field-test, and launch technology-based social ventures in low- and middle-income communities. 

Students earn the Intercollege Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor (ENTI) in the social entrepreneurship cluster by completing all of the HESE courses and the three core ENTI courses. By completing all HESE courses, students earn an Engineering and Community Engagement Certificate.

Gap Year Medical Technician Opportunity

For students near Allentown, PA

Dr. Lisa Bunin is looking for a Medical Assistant/Technician in her Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgery practice.  This position is described as "an excellent opportunity for a college graduate planning on further medical education in the very near future.  The role provides hands-on experience in patient care as part of a successful medical practice as well as seeing first-hand state-of-the-art vision care practices.  Additionally, my personal mentoring for the future medical professional is a significant plus."
