American researchers have found an association between a man's waist circumference, urinary health, and sexual health.
Among 409 participants, the men with a waist circumference of 100 cm (approximately 39.4 inches) or more were likely to have problems with erections and ejaculation. They tended to urinate more frequently and they had higher rates of high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, type 2 diabetes, and higher cholesterol levels.
“This adds even more importance to the recommendation that men should maintain a healthy weight for their overall well-being,” Dr. Steven Kaplan, one of the study authors, said in a press release.
