News from The House ... No images? Click here Karinya News - March 2021Dear Friends of KarinyaDid not quite make it .....! For a while there, we thought we might get this eNewsletter out before the end of March... but here we are. What a first quarter of 2021! How are you? We hope you find yourself able to spend your Good Friday and Easter your way. As you may perhaps deduce from the image above, a fabulous occurrence did make it into March, just! With gratitude, we share our new website which went live earlier this week, for the most part a gracious gift from the team at Soda Strategic. We love the new website and we hope you do too. Please let us know what you think. Soda Strategic provide both website and Salesforce support to Karinya House through a very generous service agreement. We value their time, talent and their understanding of, and support for, Karinya House. We head into the Easter break after the 'Easter Egg Hunt and Celebrations' which occurred yesterday (Thursday) - and what a beautiful day it was. We wish you all the very best of the Easter period and we hope it provides some time to be, to reflect and to enjoy family and friends perhaps. We also extend our gratitude to each of the Karinya House Support Workers who will be on site over the public holidays and weekends, covering all shifts, 24/7. We also thank the Caseworkers who are on call over this period. Happy Days to you all. bisonhome @ EasterThe beautiful Brian of bison is supporting Home @ Karinya this Easter. “At a time like Easter so many people are catching up with friends and family. After a year of so much ‘social distancing’ there are still many people in our communities who have no choice but to remove themselves from their support systems and homes for their own physical and mental well-being." This May - We are doing things a little differently! To celebrate women in May - as we do every year, we have again launched the May Day - Mother's Day Appeal. For 2021, we also invite you to "Gala at Home - Your Way" during May 2021. Register your event online via our website today. You might have a fancy dinner, you might have a barbeque (with a fire pit!) or you might have a High Tea. Whatever way you intend to “Gala at Home”, we would love to hear about it. At the event link you will see a few of our Corporate Partners have some fabulous special offers to help you "Gala at Home". We thank Sharwood Hampers, TwoLoose Wine Co and the Canberra Southern Cross Club. #galaathome @karinyahouse #supportingwomen #supportinglocal #ourcommunity Save the Date: 29 April 2022 - Next Year - the return of the Karinya House Annual Mother's Day Gala Dinner! 🤞🏽 Capital Chemist Group and The Tall Foundation – Our CommunityThank you to the Capital Chemist Group – Our Community Matters Program for news of their valued partnership with Karinya House, together with continued support from the The Tall Foundation.
