RESEARCH GOT TALENT AWARD: ENTRY DEADLINE EXTENDED So, now for the good news! The AMSRO/ESOMAR Research Got Talent (RGT) competition is still on, and we’ve extended the deadline by two weeks to ensure that you and your team have time to get your entry finalised and submitted. The new closing date for submissions is now Monday, 13 April 2020. Please forward this email to your young, talented researchers. Due to COVID-19 and the postponement of the AMSRO Leaders Forum, we have modified the judging process with Finalists' presentations now conducted via video conferencing. The Australian RGT winner will be invited to present at the Leaders Forum conference on Wednesday, 28 October 2020 (InterContinental Sydney, Double Bay). We apologise for the revised approach, and while the postponement of the Forum saddens us, our priority is to heed the government's advice. Essentially, we must act responsibly during this time to protect the health and well-being of our members, sponsors, suppliers and the community at large. We do believe, however, that the Research Got Talent competition is a brilliant initiative that supports our industry, our charities and our nation - all of which are significantly impacted by Covid-19 - and in need of positive actions. Further, it is the data and insights industry that government, clients and community around the world can rely on for solutions and insights during a crisis. So, there's no better time to demonstrate our industry's agility and resilience, our expertise and our services, than by supporting this competition. Please ensure your employees can participate by forwarding this information. At this stage, the Global Competition, culminating at the ESOMAR Congress in Toronto in September, is still going ahead. However, as the situation is continually evolving, we will be sure to update you if there are changes. Should Congress not proceed, the global judging phase of the competition will be held online with the Australian winner invited to attend Congress in 2021.
