March is Women's History Month, and several departments at UCF have compiled a full calendar of inspiring events for everyone to attend. For the full list, visit the Office of Diversity and Inclusion online.

Please be advised of the upcoming semi-annual fire sprinkler inspections, which will be taking place around the Nicholson Building on March 10. Normal operations should not be affected by this work, though the areas near the storm water drains, backflows and fire pumps will need to be kept clear on the day of the inspection.

Effective Monday, Feb. 27, construction on the Central Energy Plant will begin, removing approximately 50 faculty and staff spaces from lot C-2. To accommodate, there will be an additional 50 spaces reserved for faculty and staff on the second level or parking garage C. No 24-hour reserved parking spaces are affected at this time.

Dr. Enrique del Barco (Professor, Physics Department) is committed to the diverse population of students in the STEM and scientific research fields here at UCF and beyond. This Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 12 - 1 p.m., del Barco will talk about that commitment and will be sharing some of his experiences to help inspire our community of young researchers. The event, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, will be hosted at Global UCF room 101ABC. All are welcome to attend.
