Bake Sale in Help of EvaOn Valentine's Day, our students showed how big their hearts are by organizing a charity bake sale to raise funds for the treatment of a girl called Eva. A special thanks goes to their teacher Ms. Martina Nikova, who coordinated the campaign, the Parent Association for the support, and of course we thank all teachers and students who participated and everyone who donated for this cause. We are extremely proud of our students! Valentine's Day at AEAYou have probably seen and enjoyed the lovely decoration, the Valentine cards, and Valentine's Day projects of our students around the whole school and the kindergarten! It was a lovely atmosphere this week. Enjoy some of the photos! Teacher for a Day in Grade 2A great initiative is taking place in Grade 2 in February taken up by Ms. Katerina Andonova. "Teacher for a day" is connected with the application of the classroom mirror method whereby students conduct lessons, taking the role of a teacher. They take note of absences, they praise the good performances of their classmates, and they even write notices when a student misbehaves. At the beginning of the week, Elizabeth presented a game of "tic-tac-toe" made by stones and a paper bag under the theme "Technology and Entrepreneurship". Olivia worked with her classmates on the book "I Can Draw Animals" in "Creative Art". Ekaterina and Georgi taught the class about natural disasters. Today Ivet conducted her lesson, and all Grade 2 students will have the opportunity to be "Teachers for a day" by the end of February. Native American TribesMs. Bea's Grade 3 students, each researched a Native American tribe and recreated their environment, homes and crafts. They created a Native American History Museum in the hallway for everyone to learn more about first communities and their history. Mock Spelling BeeTeachers in Elementary are going to hold a mock spelling bee in the classrooms next week to determine top finalists. Please have your students review the list and encourage them to do their best! If you have any questions please e-mail Ms. Cheryl at cheryl.stoyanov@aeasofia.com Parent-Teacher ConferenceLast but not least, we would like to thank all parents who attended the AEA Parent-Teacher Conference.
