Seniors Forum: Travelling in your senior years

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas season and are looking forward to all that 2016 will bring.

Our seniors forums are continuing in 2016 and we are beginning the year with one that I think will be among the best we’ve hosted.

February’s seniors forum is looking at the topic of ‘travelling in your senior years’ and our expert guest is Marty Byrne, National Travel Manager for National Seniors Travel. Marty, who is flying in from Queensland, has been in the travel industry for the past 26 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to this topic.

His presentation will include how to get the most out of ‘smartraveller’ (travel advice website), tips for seniors when travelling abroad, travel insurance and hot spots to holiday now and why.

Where: Lighthouse Community Church, Jetty Road, Brighton
Time: Tuesday 16 February 2016, 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm (afternoon tea is provided)
RSVP: Thomas Gaffney on 8296 9833 or at Thomas.Gaffney@parliament.sa.gov.au

Attending the forum is free, but there is the option to give a gold coin donation to the Brighton Parkinson’s Support Group. Our last collection went towards the Bright Christmas Appeal, which raised $373.80 for three causes: Marino Community Garden, Beach for All (beach access initiative) and SeeChange for Zimbabwe (through World Vision).

I hope to see catch up with you there.

David.
