Food for Thought |

When the academic year ends and many school cafeterias close, we know kids still need nutritious meals for an active, healthy summer.
You can ensure more students get healthy meals at no cost during the summer months by spreading the word about the Summer Food Service Program. The Texas Department of Agriculture administers this U.S. Department of Agriculture program to connect Texas children 18 and younger with good nutrition during the summer.

You can click the blue button below to
download a printable PDF version of the summer meals parent
information card in English or Spanish to share with students and
parents.
It’s vital to get these facts into the hands of students and parents
before the end of the school year. Sending the information to teachers,
nutritionists, community leaders and other influencers will make good
nutrition available to even more families. |
