Counsilman-Hunsaker Announces Our

 Newest Team Member

Counsilman-Hunsaker is excited to announce that Diana Munz, former Olympic Gold Medal swimmer and 22-time national swimming champion, has joined the Counsilman-Hunsaker team.  In her role as a Project Manager, Diana’s primary focus will be in aquatic facility business planning and operations.

Diana has an impressive swimming background to say the least. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, she won Gold in the 800 Freestyle Relay and Silver in the 400 Freestyle. She continued her career after the Olympic Games and won gold medals in the 2001 World Championship, 2002 Pan Pacific Games and the 2003 World Championship. She then competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens where she won a Bronze Medal in the 800 Freestyle. Before retiring, she held the most US National Titles of any active swimmer. She was also a member of the US National Swim Team for 10 consecutive years.

She then brought her athlete experience and international connections to the team at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, to design a world class facility and develop a competitive program to attract the highest level of athletes to the region. As Associate Director of Swimming at SPIRE, she cultivated relationships with USA Swimming clubs, facility sponsorship partners and members of the Olympic movement. 

Diana is a John Carroll graduate and gives back to her local community by serving on various boards such as USA Swimming, Swim for Diabetes along with many others.  With Diana’s vast experience in aquatics, she will be a dynamic asset to our “Aquatics For Life” ideal.
