2015 Trust Barometer

2015 Trust Barometer

Thursday February 26, 2015
7:00 am – 9:00 am
The Westin

320 4 Avenue SW

Trust is fundamental to building strong relationships. Business, governments and other public institutions today face significant trust deficits. What factors shape trust in business? Which institutions does the public trust, and why? What is the most trusted Canadian industry?

Edelman, the world’s largest PR firm, has been tracking trust globally for 15 years with its Trust Barometer report. The report reveals how trust is evolving in Canada and across the globe, and provides insight into how organizations can build trust among their stakeholders.

Join us for a presentation followed by a panel discussion to probe the implications of the Trust Barometer for the Albertan, Canadian and global marketplaces.

Policy blog: Winners and losers (Global oil edition)

The price of Brent crude oil continues to fall below 50 USD per barrel, resulting in heightened fears over a lack of investment in Alberta’s energy production, a supply glut in the global marketplace, and fiscal pressures facing the provincial and federal government.

Geopolitically and economically speaking though, who is coming out on top of the global oil crisis, and who is suffering the greatest?

The newest hashtag you need to know: #X

If your Twitter feed or cellphone is filling up with #x messages, don’t ask why. They can’t answer. Your conversation has been put on pause.

Hashtag x — “It can Wait” — is an American anti-texting and driving campaign started last summer by AT&T. It means, “I’m about to drive” and is meant to pause the texting conversation by letting the person know you can’t respond.
