Compliments of the season from the Hampden Team

It’s not long now before the festivities begin, and we just wanted to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our customers and suppliers for your continued support throughout 2015. It's been another massive year, and a year of change for Hampden with a move to our new home in Takanini. We would like to thank you once again for your understanding during this move - we are now starting to see some real efficiency in this new space and that bodes well for 2016. We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and relaxing festive season.

With best wishes for your holidays,

Kristian Baldwin and the Hampden Fence team.

Christmas Office Hours

We will be finishing for the year at close of business on Tuesday 22 December and will reopen on Tuesday 5th January 2016. If you have an urgent enquiry during this time please contact Kristian Baldwin on 021 1903 796.

New Hampden Fence website launching next week

For the past few months we have been working on a new Hampden Fence website- and it's almost here!  We’re just testing the site with a view to making it LIVE early next week. The new site is responsive design so you can view it on any device and is full of recent examples of our work. The site is also easier to navigate, has a more modern style and better showcases our expertise and capabilities. We’ll be in touch next week as soon as it’s up and running and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Project Showcase: Otahuhu Precinct - Custom Fabrication

Custom fabricated steel fencing, Vitex timber fencing, Pipe & Mesh Chainlink fencing, Gates, Timber acoustic fencing

The $30.9m Otahuhu Recreational Precinct was officially opened on Saturday 8 August and is a multi-purpose community facility which includes a new library, aquatic centre, outdoor water play area, community teaching garden, a new playground and an upgraded fitness centre. The facility will allow Otahuhu residents to come together to swim, play, read and relax.

The design of the precinct takes inspiration from Otahuhu itself, with Pacific and Maori-inspired elements, and reflects the diversity of the community and create a sense of place for Otahuhu. Hampden Fence installed a range of fencing solutions across the precinct, including:

  • Architecturally designed, custom-fabricated metal fence and matching gate - around the aquatic centre and outdoor water play area
  • Vitex Timber & Aluminium Fencing - around the outdoor playing spaces closet to the roadside boundary of the site
  • Pipe & Mesh fencing with pedestrian swing gate and rubbish enclosure - towards rear of site for easy on-site access
  • Timber Acoustic fencing - for use on site perimeter that borders neighbouring households.

Hampden worked closely with main contractor NZ Strong Construction, and various other subcontracted trades, to complete the Auckland Council project on time and on budget. Below are some other views of the completed fencing across the project.
