The Hon Kyle McGinn MLC presented the Law Society, local community representatives and the Lore/Law project team with a Lotterywest cheque for $230,000 on 17 December at Coolgardie Park, Coolgardie. Lotterywest’s support of Lore/Law in Kalgoorlie, Boulder and Coolgardie will ensure that youth in the Goldfields have a voice on Lore/Law matters of significance to them in their communities.
Crowdfunding Guidance for the Australian Legal ProfessionThe Law Council of Australia has released Crowdfunding Guidance for Australian Legal Practitioners. It is envisaged that this Guidance Note will assist the legal profession by raising awareness of the professional and ethical issues that practitioners ought to consider when navigating this complex area.

NT Pro Bono Relief SchemeThe NT Pro Bono Relief Scheme is a pilot program coordinated by the Law Council of Australia and the Law Society Northern Territory. It will offer a unique opportunity for lawyers around Australia to work in the Northern Territory assisting or relieving local lawyers for periods of between one and two weeks. »Read more
