Hello, South Carolina.

Morning, everyone. Yesterday, we saw the third highest number of positive cases recorded in a single day in the Palmetto State. 

The death toll in the state is nearing 4,400. The new surge in cases is breaking records set in the first surge earlier this year, yet SC has looser restrictions on gatherings, restaurants and nursing homes.

 
Educators across South Carolina are reaching their breaking point, whether it be from exhaustion or their district’s handling of the virus. But amid teacher protests and warnings of another holiday spike in cases following Christmas and New Year’s Eve, some districts have modified their plans.
