UF Health Diabetes Center of Excellence Celebrates Diabetes Awareness Month
The UF Health Diabetes Center of Excellence initiated a month-long campaign to raise awareness for diabetes throughout November. Several events were held, including a photo contest, a walk to stop diabetes, free screenings, the lighting of Century Tower and lab tours.
MediKidz superheroes even made a special appearance for the festivities.

Department Highlights
Last month, the University of Florida Department of Pediatrics thanked the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) for its continuing support of our research and child life programs. Thirty faculty members who received research funding this year were also recognized.
The department's inaugural CMN Scholars,
Roland Herzog, Ph.D., and Arun Srivastava, Ph.D were also recognized.

Local Business Commits to the Cause
Gamers HQ Supports CMN through Extra Life!
On Nov. 2, gamers all across the world pledged to play 25 hours to help heal children in their communities.
Our Gainesville and Orlando communities raised more than $9,000 for UF Health Shands Children's Hospital.
