On Monday 11th of February, QSI Dushanbe celebrated its 100th day of school. The year has been passing so fast and our students have been very hardworking. Our primary students celebrated this day with multiple activities revolving around the theme of the number 100. Teachers decided to set up stations and elementary classes shifted from one classroom to another, in order to complete the different activities. The four main stations set up for the primary students were: the 100th Day trail mix with Ms. Spears, which involved inserting 100 pieces of different ingredients such as chickpeas, raisins, corn flakes, pretzels, sunflower seeds, and to top it all some colorful, chocolaty M&M’s. This formed a festive mix of goodies, which the students adored. On the other hand, Ms. Roberts turned her classroom into a sport station, with her 100 exercises to complete, which included different types of workouts. On the third floor, Ms. Do had set up a workshop to make colorful “100 Days Wiser” hats. Each student got to decorate his or her own hat with markers, papers, and all sorts of jolly items. Last but not least, on the ground floor, Ms. Mavzuna had another station which required some creativity. Students had to create a picture of themselves a hundred years from now, an entertaining activity that required creativity from students. To conclude the 100th day of school, our younger students got a very special visit from Zero the Hero who sang songs with students, emphasizing zeros and other numbers. The 100th day of school was celebrated in the way it should be, with many indoor activities that brought laughter and joyfulness in the minds of students. By Heloise Ducler
