1. EFSA focuses on bio-security to reduce ASF risk

A risk assessment of African Swine Fever (ASF) spreading across Europe was carried out by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). It found that the risk of ASF transmission can be reduced by comprehensive biosecurity review and installation of fences.

2. Record Listeria infections in 2020 in Finland

6. New German network for pathogen surveillance

Three German institutes have teamed up to monitor bacterial pathogens and detect outbreaks faster. The miGenomeSurv network is a collaboration between the University of Münster, Research Center Borstel and the Robert Koch Institute.
