AFA SYSTEMS PROVIDES ENGINEERED PACKAGING SOLUTIONS FOR ALL OF YOUR AUTOMATION NEEDS
Product Feature: TK-AFA - Turnkey Automation System (Video ID: 415)
AFA Systems completed a turnkey automation line that consisted of cartoning, case packing, and palletizing. The cartoner handled multiple lanes of ready-to-eat pasta trays. The infeed speed was 120 cartons per minute. After, the carton will go through a metal detection system to an AFA case packer. The AFA case packer features all-servo changeover and innovative gantry robot top loading. The case packer included a manual load station at the machine's discharge to handle a variety pack SKU. The finished cases will be transferred to a cantilevered gantry robot palletizing system. The cantilevered design allowed the palletizer to fit into the production floor, which has a low ceiling height. Allen Bradley PLCs and servo motors control the entire production line.
New Product: TR-QTR - Robotic Case/Tray Former (Video ID: 416)
AFA has developed a new combination tray former/case erector called the TR-QTR. The system incorporates AFA's gantry robot technology to erect cases and form trays on the same system. The system utilizes a FlatStack Magazine for operators to load trays/cases in an ergonomic position. Furthermore, the TR-QTR can complete changeovers very quickly with single-point change over points and servo-driven adjustments. A tray forming tool and Nordson ProBlue Flex ensure consistent and positive tray forming at over 20 trays per minute. The TR-QTR also includes a built-in VPN for remote trouble-shooting capabilities.
Product Feature: CE-CEB - Large Frame Case Erector Bottom Sealer
The CE-CEB is a perfect addition for your line in need of automation for your large-size cases. The system can reach speeds of up to 12 cases per minute. The case erector also features an easy-to-load magazine and features single-point adjustments on all three dimensions. The CE-CEB comes complete with Allen Bradley electrics and PLC for easy troubleshooting. The below video shows the case erector running a case size at 24" x 13" x 9" (L x W x D).
