MPA Jury Member Authors Amazing Video Course on Mobile Photo Art for Android and iOS - our link saves you 50%!

Many of you may have seen Bob Weil's new video course advertised over the last ten days or so. We thought long and hard about whether we too would share the 50% offer with our readers. After viewing a series of the videos the answer became an enthusiastic YES.

Any doubts we had vanished after watching Bob explain the app Superimpose. Masking, layering and compositing can be used to create something completely new, far removed from the original image - it can also be selectively and carefully used to make subtle changes within a picture.  But we often find that simple layering techniques on a desktop app end up becoming full of work-arounds on the phone. Alas! Along comes Bob, and in a very real, personable way, he just keeps showing us new techniques and simpler methods.

Watching his videos results in a constant stream "SO, THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE" moments. It's actually incredible how much Bob knows about apps. It makes sense that he has put together this video course - he knows what he's doing. Look, we'll be straight up about this - if you're seeking to enhance your street photo skills this probably isn't going to help you BUT if you're looking to enhance your knowledge and abilities about creating art on your mobile device this course offers a great foundation.

We are thrilled to be able to offer his course at a 50% savings.

Check it out because the deal expires this Friday.

Top Mobile Photographers Share Their Tips for Creating Stunning Images with a Phone

When we were in San Jose this spring at the Silicon Valley Contemporary Art Fair we filmed a short segment about Mobile Photography with the folks at Discovery Digital Networks on behalf of Sony. They did a wonderful job featuring street photographer Roger Clay, landscape man Paul Marsh, and our founder Daniel Berman. Petapixel ran an article on the piece with some insightful commentary.

The video can be seen right here - plenty of tips and tricks as well as some insight on what MPA juries typically look for when choosing images.
