Thank you for reading Bijouxlovlie's first newsletter. This newsletter will be an occasional (low-frequency) one just to keep you updated on what's going on and how things are progressing.

You will find that this newsletter may not necessarily be focussed on the jewellery aspect only. This is because, as you may have read on my Blog or Etsy Shop, Bijouxlovlie aims to make a difference in the world by using cruelty-free materials as far as possible in all the handmade jewellery and accessories. But also I aim at making a difference at a larger scale whereby speaking up, sharing information, inspiring others into creativity. Thus, recreating the foundations for ourselves and future generations to thrive.

The jewellery part is the beauty aspect of it. Indeed, the piece of jewellery holds all the positive energy of a cruelty-free chain handmade with love and at the same time conveying the message of love.

I believe that if we expect people at the top, who have the power, to make changes to help make the world a better place, then every individual like you and me need to play a part as well.

Mass-production very often happens in very bad circumstances and abuse. Buying handmade from indie designers is one small way that you can help make the world a better place by supporting people who work for themselves on a small scale and the community that comes with indie design in particular.

Every dollar / pound / euro you spend sends out a message. By buying handmade you are:

1. Helping to contribute in establishing a new economic model.
    
2. Supporting recycling as the new wave of craftspeople are using recycled materials more and more. This is vital for sustainability and future generations; there is too much stuff in the world already.
    
3. Purchasing from artisans/craftspeople who ENJOY creating their wares. The object is imprinted with that positive energy and it is like a butterfly effect that spreads.
    
4. Supporting the artisan directly and supporting local community.
    
5. Buying from craftspeople which is a conscious decision. People need to be more conscious of where their hard-earned money is going, how is it changing hands and so on. This contributes to the bigger picture.

These are just a few points outlined here but not the least. By supporting the indie designer and buying handmade, you are contributing to make a difference.
