Australia is creating a national charity regulator. Click here to contribute to the consultation on its implementation plan by Monday 27 February 2012.
In the UK, Essex County Council launched the first government backed social impact bond to help support children’s services.
The Social Value Bill has been moving swiftly through the British parliament and is likely to become law by summer 2012. The bill embeds the concept of social value into public service procurement. Read our blog about it here.
Member profile: Midot
Midot is a Corporation for Public Benefit based in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Midot consults on social impact analysis and charity effectiveness across the Israeli third sector. They have developed a bespoke charity rating system, the Midot Seal of Effectiveness, and promote effectiveness and impact both in policy and in practice.
Midot are looking are opportunities to share best practice in measuring social impact and advising donors. Let us know if you'd like to get in touch.
