Introducing Housing First Minnesota
|
As BATC members have strengthened the economic and political reach of our housing movement over the past several years, we have discovered that our name does not reflect the reach of our efforts and limits the housing movement. We’re pleased to announce that BATC’s advocacy program has been rebranded as Housing First Minnesota. The new name
reflects that we are the first resource on housing issues, and ties to our strategic goal to elevate housing as a top issue for policy makers and influencers to consider. In the courts, in city halls and at the Capitol, we are now Housing First Minnesota, your advocacy team. While the advocacy brand is changing, the BATC brands and programs you know and love remain unchanged. Click the link below to learn more about our exciting rebrand. And be sure to follow Housing First Minnesota on Facebook
and Twitter.

Longtime Member and Industry Giant Remembered
|
Our industry lost a longtime member and friend in the passing of Jim Stanton. He was a Minnesota housing industry giant and one of the metro area’s most influential builders and developers. Jim leaves a great legacy throughout the Twin Cities. Jim was also a leader in elevating the housing industry’s advocacy efforts. He understood how important it was to build homes affordably and he devoted countless hours over the past three decades to this cause. Just 10 days ago, Jim was at BATC with his peers in a planning meeting and as always, he was looking forward to opportunities to continue to elevate the housing industry. He was a man with a great sense of humor and was truly one of a kind. Jim will be greatly
missed. Various media outlets have contacted BATC in the passing of Stanton. See coverage below.
