You are our most valuable asset - Tell us your Unitec stories (and win a $100 Pak'nSave card!)

Kia ora koutou,

The best thing I have heard our people say this year is they have a sense of hope that Unitec is now on the right path.

It’s been a year of changes and challenges, but also one in which our people have continued to do incredible and inspiring things. The stories and achievements coming through in this year’s Unitec Excellence Awards are evidence of this.

We’ve also heard from people who are keen to help spread the word that Unitec is still very much staying put, still making an outstanding contribution to our community and our student’s lives. I’m sure we’re all getting asked how things are going at Unitec a lot more often than in previous years!

To help out with that conversation, and to provide a bit of inspiration for us all as we head into the summer break, we thought it would be a good time to ask you to share your favourite Unitec stories. It would also be great to capture some of those stories which perhaps were missed by the Excellence Awards but should still be shared and celebrated.

For example, our students continue to shine, gaining recognition and awards all over the place, for design, architecture, carpentry, phototography, film, and more. Our work-ready grads are highly successful with nearly 80 percent going into careers in line with their studies, and multiple studies this year highlighted the advantages of vocational training for securing your financial future when compared to a typical Bachelor of Arts degree.

So tell us:

What was your favourite story or achievement for 2018?
For example:

a project you or a student worked on
a programme in which students achieved outstanding results
what made your role exciting, engaging, or rewarding this year

And:

What are you most looking forward to in 2019?

Enter and win

Send a video of you or your team talking about it, or an email, to the Chief Executive inbox telling us what you’ve enjoyed and are looking forward to. Our favourite story will win a $100 Pak’nSave prezzy card!
