REACH for the cleaning supply chain

REACH is a business-critical issue for companies in the cleaning and hygiene sector.  To help you adapt we are hosting a conference, in partnership with the BACS, covering:

  • REACH, COSHH and CLP: how they fit together
  • Scope, responsiblities and deadlines: who has to do what and when
  • Safety data sheets: what triggers changes and how frequently can we expect them?
  • Critical information not in the safety data sheet: what are the options to communicate it?
  • The future of managing cleaning chemicals in the supply chain

The conference is taking place on 21 June at the Lea Marston Hotel, just off Junction 9 of the M42.

Email the Secretariat now to reserve your place.

Aiming high - driving up standards

Check out pages 54 and 55 of the February issue of Tomorrow's Cleaning!

In a double page spread Stephen Harrison and Mike Stubbs explain our ambitious plans for the future and the ways in which we're driving up standards in the sector.

First we've made sure the marques of the CHSA and its Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Schemes are stamps of quality and recognised as such.

Second, we're calling on buyers of cleaning and hygiene products to demand membership in their tenders.  Some are already doing so and we're seeing membership applications increase as a result.  We've created a virtuous circle!

A special price, just for you!

Our Gala Ball, taking place on 20 May at Heythrop Park Resort, OX7 5UE, is a sell out!

With a packed evening of entertainment the Ball will be a night to remember.

We have negotiated a special Saturday night deal of £105, with upgrades at £50.

We're also seeking raffle prizes.  If you have something that will help us raise as much as possible for the Chairman's charity, The Helping Treat Cancer Together Committe, email our Secretary, Linda Belcher.

Dan Walker to host our Golf Day!

We are returning to Oulton Hall, Leeds, Yorkshire for our 2016 Charity Golf Day and Dan Walker is going to be our host for the evening!

Yes, the same Dan Walker who presents Football Focus, has a daily show on Radio 5 Live called Afternoon Edition and has taken over from Bill Turnbull on Breakfast TV.  He also hosts some of the BBC’s Open Golf coverage, presents a show on BBC World each week and has worked on events such as the Olympics, World Cups, European Championships, The Grand National, 6 Nations, Wimbledon and the Tatton Flower Show in 2004.

Spread the word about the CHSA's 2016 Scholarship Scheme

The successful applicant will receive £4,500, paid in three annual installments of £1,500 during the course of a three-year undergraduate degree.

The Scholarship Scheme is a great way to say thank you to your hard working employees so make sure they know how to apply if they have eligible children.

We're producing a poster you can put up on all your noticeboards. It can also be transformed into a leaflet they can take home to read later.  Email Linda Belcher to get copies.
