Environmental Health Newsletter 17June 2019Welcome to the latest issue of the Environmental Health Indicators (EHI) newsletter. As we indicated in a previous newsletter, HealthSpace, our companion data visualisation website, is undergoing a major revamp. We have been working with our colleagues at OpenLab and GeoWise and expect to launch the modernised, enhanced, bright and user-friendly HealthSpace in the next couple of months. In the last month we gave a roadshow presentation to the Health Promotion Agency (HPA) and developed several opportunities for collaboration between our two groups. In the next couple of months, we will be taking our roadshow to our funder, the Ministry of Health. As you will see in this issue Rose promoted the Hazardous Substances Disease and Injury Reporting Tool (HSDIRT), an electronic notification tool for surveillance of illness and injury related to hazardous substances, at a GPs’ conference, and is off to a GIS conference in San Diego for winning the national ESRI Young Scholar award.
