Salesforce Scoop: Artificial Intelligence

Whenever we talk about the future of Salesforce.com, artificial intelligence is always front and center.  Salesforce.com, holding its position as one of the most technologically advanced companies in the world, has been promoting the use of AI for as long as it has been available. These days AI has more uses than just predictability; it’s shaping the way executives make decisions.

Research by Salesforce.com shows that executives in 2020, who are facing a new string of hurdles dealing with Covid, are relying more on AI and AI features in Salesforce.com than ever before. This new era of AI use has led executives to make decisions regarding technology forecasts to stay ahead of the pandemic.

The shift in AI use has also opened a door to new opportunities for Salesforce AI experts as well. The new opportunity comes in the form of the large move to hire AI futurists to help these executives make their decisions. AI futurists have expertise in both predictive and prescriptive technology, and are able to help executive teams gain headway during difficult transition periods.

User Adoption Research: Quick Tips from my Research

Small steps/quick wins win; allow failures to drive learning; develop trust within your organization to drive success

Block (2008) reminds the reader that small steps allow the group to remain in a pattern of learn, experiment, learn again, which is a requirement for communal transformation (p. 74).  Leaders must reframe the concept of failing to the concept of learning, according to Heath and Heath (2010); the momentum changes, the frustration is lessened, and challenges that deliver insights are now viewed as optimistic (p. 169).  Trust and confidence in the ability of the leadership to design, implement, and manage transparent and honest change within the organization is imperative for change success (Rosenbaum et al., 2017, p. 82).  - SJG
