In appreciation and recognition of his leadership and generous contributions of time, talent, and resources to medical student education, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the STFM Foundation created the Scott Fields Lecture to take place each year at the STFM Conference on Medical Student Education, beginning in 2021.
2021 STFM Annual Spring Conference Moves to a Virtual Format
Budgets are tight, schedules are crazy, and travel is still challenging. So, the STFM Board of Directors has decided that a virtual format will provide maximum accessibility for registrants during the STFM Annual Spring Conference, scheduled for May 3-6, 2021.

Works-in-Progress Poster Submissions Are Now Being Accepted
Family medicine fellows, residents, and students have the opportunity to present at the virtual 2021 STFM Annual Spring Conference and obtain valuable feedback from experienced researchers and peers by submitting a proposal for their works-in-progress posters.
Gain Editorial and Publishing Experience as a Medical Editing Fellow
Beginning in June, 2021, the STFM Medical Editing Fellowship provides one faculty member a yearlong experience with the editorial and publishing teams at Family Medicine Journal. Through this part-time, virtual fellowship, early or mid-career faculty receive coaching and hands-on experience to improve their skills in writing, reviewing, and editing scientific papers.
Call for Proposals: Family Medicine Residents Survey
The CAFM Educational Research Alliance (CERA), is a framework to focus and support medical education research. CERA conducts approximately five surveys per year and is accepting proposals from December 7, 2020 through January 5, 2021 for the next survey of family medicine residents.
