With the convenience of the internet it is easy to locate people these days and find out something about their lives. Recently, I thought about a school friend of mine and looked him up. I did not find much out about him, but I did find lots about his younger brother, whom I also knew. Have you ever looked at someone else’s life as it is presented online, whether personal or professional? JUNIOR SCHOOL–––––– FROM THE DIRECTOR OF JUNIOR SCHOOL –––––– At the time of publication, Year 6 students will be almost finished their first, albeit shortened, camp. What a rollercoaster ride this week has been! Many boys were disappointed (not to mention parents and teachers) due to the closure of Camp Somerset on Tuesday. Many wondered ‘why is this happening to MY grade?’, but just as many were able to look at the bigger picture of the impact of fire across Eastern Australia at the moment. We often talk about valuing and building resilience; unfortunately, to do so means we must experience loss and disappointment. I am sure many families have had a tough week because of this. Let us continue to keep in mind all those affected by these disasters. " Helping us to connect to our faith and put ourselves in the shoes of others. We could not run our rostered nights without your help. Please know that your donations are so important. The people we engage with on the streets rely on this for their meals which are accompanied by our companionship. They are truly thankful! Little things make big differences so please don’t underestimate what your contributions really do. I have sent an email to all families regarding the roster going in to next year. Please reply where applicable. Again, thank you!!! Gillian Daley - Director of Identity FINAL CALL FOR
